We decided it would be a good idea to let everyone know which particular strokes we need more data for. Those strokes are painted in red in the phantom. Draw them a few times when you see them, and don’t worry about drawing directly on the outline. We want variety so that the recognizers are trained to be flexible.
A couple other things have been added today. The phantom fades away when the mouse is clicked, to encourage users to try to write it without the phantom, so that the characters are not simply traced. There’s also a startup screen, although both buttons just begin the program, there’s no demo yet. We’ll make one later on when the program isn’t changing so rapidly.
