As Nick mentioned in his post last week, we introduced a pretty crippling bug into the first version of the Skritter iPhone app: every new user (anyone that hadn’t installed one of the beta builds) was unable to view the demo! Instead of seeing the app we have spent 19 months building, unlucky new users were taken to an unresponsive black screen. If the user was particularly tenacious, we would then ask them to pay us. Very poor form on our part.
The bug was discovered almost immediately upon launch, and Nick had a fix and update into Apple less than four hours, but it took a week for it to get to the App store. The fixed version is now available for download.
So, if you tried the app in the last week and had any problems getting it to respond, please uninstall the app from your device and re-install from the app store. You should be downloading version 1.0.2.
